Stage 15 of #project100podium
Diary 15
Fear makes you exalt the unreal and despise the tangible. Faith makes you avoid the unnecessary and run with the intangible. I knew I will be ministering to the honourable members of the Winners Corpers Fellowship in Makurdi, so I decided to do something extraordinary. I met with Ken Harmonica earlier this week so we synchronized poetry and harmonica. It was great! We tapped our fingers in adoration. The blend blessed us all. Glory be to God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. #WINNERSCORPERSFELLOWSHIP_19.5.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry

Stage 14 of #project100podium
Diary 14
Since the beginning of this project, Stage 14 holds for me a very memorable record. For 11 hours, I was seated in the bus from Makurdi to Ilorin in Kwara State. Although I was quite displeased at the deteriorating state of the high ways, I was pleased with the beautiful scenery that I saw from Benue through Kogi through Ekiti to Kwara State. Much more importantly is the contest in me about the worthiness of such hectic journey of 11 hours to on Friday and 11 hours fro on Sunday. Was the only Stage I performed on Saturday evening worth all the stress? Faith makes us more selfless because we begin to consider the need of others and find a way out of our fears. By sight, I felt uncomfortable, by Faith, I felt fulfilled. May I inform you that I had gone all the way to rejoice with the Foursquare Students Fellowship of the University of Ilorin. Trust me, I had a great time performing my poetic pieces, and they had a splendid time listening and getting blessed. Thanks to God Almighty for journey mercies. Then to my Caesars, Iya Funso never stops praying and calling; Nora kept checking, NCCF FAMILY HOUSE was missing my trouble some presence too, so I was flooded with calls, AY the thespian in conjunction with Itunnu and Princess made my stay in Ilorin a halcyon experience. God bless you all. This is just the beginning... #FSFUNILORIN_16.5.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry

Diary 13
Fear makes you borrow, Faith makes you lend. Borrowing is a sure way to debt, lending is an exhibition of one's wealth with the purpose of value. A wealthy man walks confidently to the abode of the high and mighty. Being aware of my wealthy status and its root in Faith, I entered the abode of one of the highly respected men of impact in Makurdi. Reverend Shikaan. He loved my visit, gesture of value and readiness to add some poetic cum divine value to the Glory Land Convention 2015 "Shine". It was a great evening at the opening charge of the convention. I played my part. I must confess, the TIV CHOIR made my day. God be praised for Plus one in #project100podium and the age of a great friend, Nora Dozye. #SPIRITOFLIFEGLORYLANDCONV_14.5.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry

Stage 12 #project100podium
Diary 12
Faith is not just a story teller like Fear, it's a record keeper of adventures, carefully highlighting its honourable part in the exploits of the adventurer. Having performed in Enugu at the early hours of the cold morning, I quickly left the Campus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to find my way back to Makurdi so as to meet up for the KPG Concert of House on the Rock Makurdi City Church in the evening. It's one of the very few big stages I was privileged to minister. With the likes of Solomon Lange, Freke Umoh, Kole Williams, Owie Abutu, El Joe, all great gospel ministers, then to be incorporated into this hot line up as a POET... Fear ridiculed the idea, Faith told me, "wait till the end." The great man of God, Pastor Abel Uloko, called me up as the 2nd to the last performance. Meanwhile, I had given up on that, was just carefully moving my body to the tunes. Fear said, 'I knew it, you won't be given the chance to express what you have.' Faith said nothing, whispered nothing but kept my mind at peace in synchrony with the military lines i had prepared. So, I got to the Stage, did my thing, left the Stage and forgot that the standing ovation, claps, shouts and cheers were to God on my account. Thanks to Pastor Abel Uloko, NCCF Family friends for their support, Nora, Blessed and Ayo... With this support, I'm certain that the 88 remaining stages will be more glorious... Praise Jehovah, Jesus and Holy Spirit. #HouseOnTheRockMakurdiCityChurch_10.5.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry

Diary 11
When Faith is on the move, Fear may get grounded with the force. I am Faith : I moved from the tropical valley of Makurdi to the cold hills of Enugu just to do Spoken Words. My graceful feet kissed the historic University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I love that caption "To restore the dignity of man". Anyone familiar with UNN understands that slogan. I was with the bright students of UNN and I shamelessly shared the love of Christ from my Spoken Word archive. It was a cold morning, with drops of mercy falling on us all. This message of love from the preacher to the choir and the poems warmed us all. They were blessed and I was exceedingly blessed. To them, it's "who came through?", to me, it's "dream come through." May I commend Okoye Debra for her great work. She is the Project Manager for Enugu and trust me, God was on her side.... To God be the glory... #GCFNSUKKA_10.5.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry

Diary 10
Yet another launch but a musical one this time around. A great friend, mentor and brother had his first music Album Launch and I was privileged to honour the guest with this gift of mine. So, we agreed it has to be a landmark count of #project100podium...It was the 10th Stage. It was a great gathering of great people. Trust me, it's a feast of faith. Faith was sitting on Fear as the special guest of honour because the music Album is a great step of faith for a Youth Corps Member. Gift Okoro, the outgoing General Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship, Benue State, is the greatness in question. I had learnt the triumph of Faith from Him during the few months we spent together. And on this note, I performed a praise poem for Jesus (the greatest Gift of God to mankind) at the function of this great musical Gift to my generation... #NWACHINEMEREMMUSICLAUNCH_3.05.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry
Stage 9 #project100podium
Diary 9
I was once asked by my secondary mathematics teacher if it takes five eggs more time to boil like one egg will do. You may be deceived by the quantity but the quality of heat that will boil one will equally boil five. So, I approached the ninth Stage with this mindset. I was getting ready and weary. The demand of sustenance and consistent of Faith is becoming burdensome, unlike the sharp sharp easy way out that Fear provides. It's a familiar programme but a totally different environment. I looked around and the hall decorated for the Movie Launch was scanty but intense praise was going on. Then I knew the hall only seemed scanty for Angels are always in great numbers where there is reverence for God. I was fired up by the power of the three tier praise led by great young people. At the time allocated to me, I talked about the love of Jesus and we were all reminded of such great Gift from God to mankind. I'm proud to be a part of the historic Movie production of the NCCF Benue titled The Broken Branch... If not for His unchanging love, we would have been broken branches... #NCCFBENUEMOVIELAUNCH_2.05.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry

Diary 8
When David saw Goliath, what triggered his fearlessness? Was there no atom of Fear whispering to him in synchrony with his testimony of past records? Was he so overwhelmed and consumed by the ego of his triumph over the Bear and the Lion that he forgets the terrifying presence of Fear. I know the answer, madness which is Faith... Faith is madness... So, madly and faith-ly, I faced the 3rd group of audience for the day. Like David, I killed the Bear and the Lion, and I was ready to take on Goliath- The Nigerian Christian Corpers' Fellowship. I removed my Spoken s-Word from the sheath of memory, and with the skillful arm of lofty language and beautiful expressions, I slung one poetic stone into the forehead of my giant listeners : young men and women who are prepared as the battle axe of the Most High. I then cut off their heads and put in my hand and showed it to the King of Kings. Don't think I'm using the Goliath analogy to bastardize my listeners, but as Golaith's price value is high and guarantees promotion, the satisfaction on the face of the Most high and the graceful look of my listeners made the ministration worth it. I really thank God for the opportunity, privilege, strength and courage to complete the three ministrations in a day. God be PRAISED , you be RAISED... #NCCFMAKURDI_26.4.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry
Stage 7 #project100podium
Diary 7
What was David thinking when the Lion appeared? Fear or Faith...? Was he looking at the claws in the Lion's hands or the weapon he possessed. After killing the Bear with the instrument of Faith at the RCCF a few minutes before this ministration, I hurriedly took a bike with my Project Manager, and got to the perfect Stage for the perfect Stage... Don't get confused, the perfect Stage is Stage 7 and the perfect Stage is RCCG Ressurection Parish. Wow! Jews and Gentiles, Romans and Greeks, Timber and Calibre... Just comparing things. I realised that I was expecting something soooooooooooo perfect, or as we call it 'tush' for the 7th Stage. But I was taught a great lesson. God sees perfection in the seemingly imperfect. This parish is a new one, no microphone stand, no roofing, no good sound, arghhhhhhh... That's Fear highlighting the inadequate. Trust Faith, he jerked me back to the sufficient, and reminded me how Jesus preached a perfect sermon with Simon's ship in an imperfect condition. And for 2minutes 31 seconds, I performed a short piece that blessed the less than 20 members of the Parish... Glory be to God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and thanks be to you for following Project 100 Podium. #RCCGRESURRECTIONPARISH_26.4.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry
Stage 6 #project100podium
Diary 6
What was David thinking when the Bear came? Faith or Fear...? That was the same thought on my mind as I went to minister at the Redeemed Christian Corpers' Fellowship. I knew I was going to meet young intellectuals like me. They are like the Bear, with authority and prowess in pouncing on prey. Sometimes, I think of artists as preys waiting to be consumed by predator-audience. Fearless and enthusiastic, not forgetting the presence of God and my prayerful Project Manager, AY the thespian, I took the predators by surprise. The tide turned, like a rat preying on a cat, phantasmagoria you think! It was real... When you think of an opportunity given to you by a group of young intellectuals to come and fool yourself and prove to them that Spoken Word is a perfect complement for music, drama, and dance ; you will realize what Fear can do to you, and how it can make you sweat profusely in a perfectly air conditioned environment... Thanks for reading but know one more thing, I was well received by those wonderful Corp members. I had the best of ministration there because Faith prevailed over Fear. #RCCF_26.4.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry

Diary 5
Fear of the unknown is known to the unknown, Faith of the known is unknown to the known. Glory be to God for the strength, courage, discipline, grace and creative endowment made available for the furtherance of this project. Yesterday evening was one of the best time of my poetry career. It was filled with joy and amazement seeing that the expectation of my Jesus Sanctuary family, fans and friends wasn't cut short. I was particularly blessed by the presence of my mother (Iya Funso) and my friend, brother, protege and son, Chris who came in unannounced from Imo State (Eastern Nigeria). I had worked over night with the Sandwich company I manage, so I got up about 12 noon. Then I called Chris If he would like to feature in the Stage 5 of #project100podium. He agreed (knowing that he's in for work). Spontaneously, we blended some ideas and lines for the night. Thanks to Ayo and Joel for the instrumental initiative. We tightened up the bits and pieces of the poem, leaving no stone unturned and ensuring no loosed ends. Off we went at about 7:28pm during the Monthly 3hours of Praise by RCCG Lagos Province 15 HQTRs Jesus Sanctuary Parish. Fear got grounded, overpowered and powdered by the threshing power of the Faith at work in work. We delivered the words, they received it and God was glorified. Thank you Jesus! Thank you Holy Spirit. Thank you for following us. #RCCGJSP_16.04.15 #project100podium #lytoflyfpoetry #Fiery_lips

Diary 4
I was really excited about the dance steps, beautiful songs, powerful choir, energetic youths and the vibrant atmosphere I experienced this evening at the CITY OF REFUGE YOUTHS in Lagos Mainland today. Once again, Fear lost this recollection of the memoir to Faith considering my poetic ministration. Unfortunately though, Faith also recorded a great loss today. Let me quickly make you understand. As soon as I got to the Bus Stop where I will board the bus to the Concert venue, a woman faced me and started praying what I considered "political prayers". She wasn't strange to me, neither was the innocent child she carried as her unique pity object but what was strange to me was my reaction. For the first time, I didn't care to look at the countenance of that child, perhaps it would have spurred me to give some money to the praying mother. I didn't even care to search my wallet if there was any little change. I just wanted to discharge her because of the crowd at the mustering Bus Stop considering the post-election result reactions. That was what Fear did to me. As soon as I left her, Faith nudged me and said "go back and bless that child". I turned back, but she was gone. Was she a spirit. Was she an angel. I was perturbed. Have I missed out of something tangible. Why did the Holy Spirit say "bless" instead of "give". I looked for her but couldn't find her. Then, remorsefully, I went to perform my poetic duty and enjoyed every bit of the concert as though nothing happened. As I was returning home, I remembered the earlier scene and the scar reopened especially when I started listening to "Go Light Your World" by Carmel Horan. Fear mocked me till I got home that I had failed to light hope on someone's face. Trust Faith, it said, "don't worry, but be sensitive so you don't fail the next one." All the same, it was a great time out. Lives were blessed, and I was blessed too. #CityOfRefuge_12.4.15. #project100podium #lytoflyfpoetry #Fiery_lips.

DIARY 3
The Stage 3 of my poetry project was exciting. It's a family affair. Fear told me "a prophet has no honour at home." Then Faith reminded me that I'm a poet not a prophet. Hahahahaha!!! It's amazing to see this beautiful and handsome faces again. It was fresh: the response was encouraging. In the heart of Masha in Surulere, Lagos State, I discover the positive side of being treated like a stranger in your own home. It could be adorable sometimes.... Thanks to TOP YOUTHS, and thanks to you for following Project 100 Podium Spoken Word Tour... Stay tuned for more updates. #RCCGTOPYOUTHS_4-4-2015 #project100podium #lytoflyfpoetry #Fiery_lips

Diary 2
My diary thrives on the interruption and intercession of fear and faith in my journey of Spoken Word Tour. I had set out last month in Makurdi, Benue State with a Gospel Concert in Kanshio (which means "don't expect something good out of it"). I had performed my favourite poem to the listeners. But i got knocked down by fear when I was informed that the video and pictures taken were corrupted. I exclaimed" shoo". Fear laughed but Faith told me to hold on. It's been two weeks since I have been holding on but today Faith helped to get back up and continue the journey. It's a lovely Easter Drama Concert with the New Estate Baptist Church in Lagos. I was ministered to by the Drama Group as well as the sonorous voices that sang. Now to my poetry gist, it was a perfect delivery of Easter-inspired rhymes targeted at my listeners to evoke that feeling of appreciation to Jesus for the finished work... That's the picture below. You will get the video soon.
Thank you for your support. #NEBC_4.4.2015 #project100podium #lytoflyfpoetry #Fiery_lips

Finally found the picture for the Stage 1 of #project100podium. When you think of the rigor of a seed, you may get sceptical about the future, but it's just a matter of time and careful pruning. Blessed be God forever. Fear told me I don't have all it takes. FAITH TOLD ME I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH. SO, THE JOURNEY HAS BEGUN... #KANSHIOGOSPELCAMPAIGN_19.3.15 #Fiery_lips #P100P #lytoflyfpoetry
