#Issue 37 of #MY_VISIBLE_WINGS

Jesus didn't leave us in doubt as far as persecution is concerned. Hear what he said to his disciples;
Luke 6:22-23 (NLT)
[22]What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.
[23]When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.

If you are a believer, one that will not compromise his faith for anything, expect persecution. It's part of the cross you have to bear as a believer.
When many believers think of persecution, they think of physical torture, loss of lives & properties. But persecution doesn't necessarily mean that. Those are the extreme forms. When you are denied the business deal because you wouldn't compromise your faith by giving a bribe, you're persecuted. When you are mocked by classmates or colleagues for taking a stand for Christ, that's persecution.
You can take comfort in what Jesus said in vs 23 - a crown awaits whoever bears the cross of persecution. You can't wear the crown if you're not willing to bear the cross of persecution. Yes, the world will persecute you for standing for Christ... But don't let that move you, because a crown awaits you.

Stay uncompromising!

#NoToViolenceInFamilies Part 2

Domestic abuse (violence) is a behavior we see in most environments in our society. We hear about this Odd happening in homes, schools, social and religious gathering. Children witness it, the neighbours witness it. The witnesses and the victims are always affected negatively by domestic violence. It affects self esteem, one’s value, physical appearance and emotional stability. Domestic Violence is a pattern of behavior which involves violence or other abuse by one person against another in a domestic setting, such as in marriage.
Most times we are aware of only the male predators but there are cases where the females themselves partake in violating others. Predators have the sense of power over another. They exert their will. They get some sort of fulfillment from torturing and causing pain to another person. Bullying is a very common form of abuse too. NO form of abuse is minor to the other. They are all detestable and very heart-wrenching.
“Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife” (Proverbs 21:9. NIV)
“WOMEN don’t HEAT UP MEN; OVENS DO”. Is your husband a jobless, irresponsible and extremely calm man? Is that a reason to teach him a  lesson or two from time to time? Does he deserve all the naggings and punishments you give to him? Does torturing him make you a better person? Is there peace and joy in your home  as a result of your attitude? If the answer to these questions is no, then why don’t you have a change of heart from today? From the picture of the week, you  can see the effect of shock and disappointment on the face of the woman-in-blue. The “Why?” expression on the man’s face. The bible admonishes women to be women of virtue so “Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value” (Proverbs 31:11. NIV). What about you young woman, do you think it is okay to hit that boy because you have a bigger stature than he has? Do you believe you should exert #WomenEquality by taking things forcefully from others?
Oftentimes, children and spouses have nowhere to turn or don't know where to turn. 90% of abusers have been seen to have been abused somewhere during their life-time, so how does the trend stop. How do someone put a stop to this menace in the society. Should partners keep abusing partners or their children. And these children keep abusing their own children and this becomes an endless cycle. NO! NO!! NO!!
Jesus is the HELP. Jesus is the person to focus on. HE will send the HOLYSPIRIT to minister to your spirit on how to control that temper, how to respect and value your man and how to be a woman of noble character. Communicating with him daily will remind you of how you are expected to behave to get praises from your husband. If you have a change of heart today and invite him into your life. He will come in and heal all those scars from the past, you can gradually be a changed person that will be adored by those around you.

#WithGod
The game of chess is a game that entails focus and a goal. In chess, one's goal is to checkmate, that is, to capture your opponents king. Once the opponent's king has been captured, the game is won. It is a battlefield with two contrasting sides fighting to protect their king. Now, applying it to life, there has always been a battle between good and evil, and we are fighting that battle as well.
So, which side are you on, the winning side or the losing side?
One question one might have in mind now would be, how do I know the winning side and keep away from the losing side? We all have read the bible or at least come across the word of God in one form or another  at some point in our lives and the things asked of us are things that if we keep away from, we will be successful if we obey all the laws set in place by those in authority. For example, "do not steal. " This is a commandment set not only in the bible but governs every respectable home and country. Failure to abide by this rule always comes with repercussions. In a home, be it Christian, Muslim, Buddhists,  Atheists, or whatsoever, if a child is caught stealing, a punishment is always meted on that child. Also, in the society if a person is caught committing this offence, jail term may not be far fetched.
So, why do we think that obeying the commandments of God is bothersome or 'burdensome'? It shouldn't be so, because in the long run, it doesn't  just draw us closer to him but makes us better people in our society. Why don't you give it a trial period then see, give yourself a month, following all the commandments God has given and check and see if you don't have a much productive month than you have ever had in your life. Just set a  trial, don't lie, don't steal, don't be envious, love your neighbor, don't be covetous, show love. Follow these rules and let's see if your life isn't a better one compared to when you started. This may also apply to those who do not believe Christianity is the way.
Now, to those who believe that Christianity is the way, you are on the winning side already. But remember the battle isn't over till it's over. You need to have God on your side always, Romans 8:31 says,  "what then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Who can be our foe if God be by our side? " well the answer to that is the devil. The devil is your foe. The devil is against you. The devil is your opponent. But fear not, the Lord is your king and you are his knight. We cannot allow the devil to win this game. Remember the goal is to get the king. Once you get the king, the kingdom will fall: and to get the king we need to empty his camp. There is no king or kingdom without its people. Get the pawns and knights to your side and the battle is won.
But before you move into battle, you need to know your role in the game. Are you a pawn or a knight? I'm sorry, but this question, I cannot answer. That is for you to figure out. But do not let yourself be won over by the other side, because just as you are trying to win them over, they are trying to win you over just as well. All that glitters isn't gold, and the best things are always hidden. Good luck in your battle.

There are a longing to be filled with something external, it's better to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It takes one to the peak of experience, both pure and supernatural.

Like seriously, we need to use everything positive at our disposal to preach the gospel. It's not a choice, it's a command. Perhaps you're not speaking about the light because you're not sure if you've left darkness too... #TellSomeoneAboutJesus
